Why technology inclusion in your institute will become a norm in future?

A couple of weeks ago Indian educational  institute doing their mundane task in a traditional way. Majority were happy to do work in their comfort zone because they were reluctant to adapt to new technology or given less importance to it.

What happened suddenly in a  Covid 19 pandemic situation? Everyone had confined their four walls because this pandemic had left no options to educators and students. What we thought about the future of technology in education earlier, now had become an interesting question and one that is required to think about all the time whether you like technology or not.

So what is the future?
The future is about access, anywhere learning and collaboration, both locally and globally. Teaching and learning is going to be social. Educational institutes of the future could have a traditional cohort of students, as well as online only students who live across the country or even the world. Things are already starting to move this way with the emergence of massive open online courses. Now online classes are trending in a indian market. The free online courses had attracted many students from early education to universities.

Of course technology is changing the dynamics of education, especially the relationship between teachers and students. As educators begin to rethink the learning experience, we believe it will be important to also reshape educational spaces to support this evolution,

This of course means that  the role of the teacher will change from now, By using technology teachers are replacing old models of standardized, rote learning and creating more personalized, self-directed experiences for their students. There’s more multi-device synchronization with software that supports multi user collaboration and more support for virtual conversations, both within and beyond a classroom and these features help teachers in  creating their own digital content, including animations and videos. Much of the information that only teachers possessed in the past is now available to students online.  As a result, educators are now leveraging technology to create a different role for themselves in their classrooms.

Shared applications and documents on the cloud will allow for more social lessons. How often do students get an opportunity to collaborate productively using technology in the classroom? It isn’t always easy. However, students working on documents together using apps is easy. They could be in the same room or in different countries. These are all good skills for students to have. Of course, these collaborative tools are also very useful for teachers.

Plenty of educational institutes  have started embracing  this, but there’s still a way to go to ensure all institutes are ready for the future of technology. It is time for all us to embrace technology.

From now on wards, Technology inclusion in lesson delivery will become a norm.
